This song was written on a rainy day and first evolved on a cello in the studio. Balafon and keyboard versions were also tried out too. All worked, but in the end the hand pan was irresistible and returned to as it shifted Jo’s voice into a lower key than usual and seemed to fit the sound perfectly.
